On the way to church as I was driving across a sleepy bridge which led over our beautiful saltwater marshes my eyes were fixed on the road ahead but I was also looking upwards toward the blue skyline dusted with puffy clouds as the sun was continuing its rise to the top of the sky, and a revelation suddenly hit my mind instantly changing me! The plans that lie ahead for us are blessed! I saw in the spirit a wide open expanse in the sky. I saw butterflies flying around just under the clouds. This vision communicated an indication of freedom, beauty, wonder, and blessing. If fixed my faith on the belief that the road ahead for God’s people is blessed.
As I got closer to church tears came to my eyes as I thought of a testimony a friend of mine had shared with me that morning. For years her daughter endured a very painful and dark battle. I watched her mom labor for her in prayer. I watched her carry the painful results of bad decisions that led to greater suffering as darkness seemed to engulf the situation. Then suddenly one day things begin to change. Her daughter began pursuing her own life in Christ and slowly crawling out of the darkness. That morning she sent me a photo in which I could feel the refreshing power of Gods redemption on this child’s life. The picture showed this precious girl covered in purity, hope and joy starting a brand new life on the other side of her battle. I realized that every single prayer that mother had ever prayed for that child had been answered and I was looking at the fulfillment.
As I considered this testimony along with two other very similar testimonies, I heard: “you will be astonished as you see the goodness of God that is about to be released over your life at such an unexpected time. You will be astonished at the weight of My glory as it begins to fall. Living in it will change you. You will walk with a new confidence knowing that God loves you as dearly as those family members who have always shown you such kindness and gentleness wanting your life to be blessed. You’ve cried in pain and frustration but soon you will cry tears of joy seeing the redemption on the other side. There is great joy breaking forth in this harvest. As you press your hand to the plow and move forward joy will burst through the ground. You’ve cultivated a crop of goodness and it will soon burst through.”
“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,”
Hebrews 12:22 NKJV
Heaven is with you, surrounding you, rallying alongside you, fighting ahead of your steps. This is God’s will for this nation and this time. You will learn to fight and to secure your position.
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Psalms 27:13-14 NKJV
Choose today to tightly fasten this word in your heart. Choose today to reject every thought of defeat, fear or hopelessness because those are not God’s plans for you. Your eyes will see the goodness of God. Look for His goodness, expect it, prepare for it, move toward it.
This is a different time in history. Don’t think you know what’s going to happen because of what we’ve seen or read about in history. God will get the glory for what He is about to do. I see the highest leadership in the land acknowledging that what is about to happen could have only come from God. I see even unbelievers acknowledging that it was an act of God and telling others about it.
God’s People are being released into places of freedom right now. It is shocking for some. They will not know what to do. It will be an adjustment. People who never thought their lives could be any different are being released and positioned for glorious destinies.
“For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 2:6-7 NLT
Your life is a testimony of the wealth of His grace and kindness. When you get to Heaven you will open your mouth and testimonies will flood out detailing the powerful moves of God you witnessed during your lifetime.
Embrace the consuming fire that is our benevolent God.
