Oslo Norway
“Your presence is an open door…we want you Lord like never before”… The lyrics of this song played through my soul as I woke and watched our ship near the shores of Oslo, Norway. The sun shone brightly in the skies christening the day for His glory. Again the Lord reminded me “many people are saying many things right now. I have different instructions for others and they are making different preparations. Go back and cling to what I have spoken to you. This is the year of reversal. Hope for it, pray it, expect it, watch for it, depend on it in your life and the lives of your loved ones.”
Excitedly we disembarked the ship for the final time eager to deliver our bags to the hotel and begin exploring Oslo! In God’s purposeful, perfect timing we reached the Castle just before the first tour of the day started. Thankfully we were able to join the group. I am unable to provide you with interior photos or video of this extremely opulent castle due to the fact that the King and Queen of Oslo currently reside there. In fact if we had arrived a day earlier parliament was meeting there and we would have been unable to take the tour. We were required to leave our personal items in lockers provided and wear shoe coverings as we were escorted through the magnificently lavish rooms. The tour was in Norwegian but we were given information to read about each room in English. We viewed the room and thrones where the king and prince meet with parliament on Friday mornings, the queen’s room of mirrors and even the grand ballroom which hosted dancing and extravagant celebrations. The ballroom was even used as a movie theater treating guests to Charlie Chaplin films which were a novelty at the time. As we approached the chapel balcony I prepared myself to worship God as I had in the other places we had toured. Entering and peering over the ledge immediately an empty cross came into view. There were many pews in the large cool blueish hued chapel area down below. As I leaned in to gain a better view I was astounded by a sudden “woooosh!” It was the Holy Spirit breathing the strong presence of God from an area where He had surely been worshipped. I was caught off guard. Wow! I wondered what had taken place here to create such a presence.
“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.”
John 14:10 NKJV
This last statement grabbed my soul. Jesus lives in us and at any moment the Father may choose to move through Him using us! Remaining in a constant state of eager readiness at all times we must understand that we never retire or even take a break from being faithful ambassadors of God’s Kingdom. The world is being shaken but we carry an everlasting ultimate Kingdom which stands firmly. His favor is sufficient to last a lifetime, His grace more than sustains us and the table He has set for us in the presence of our enemies is a movable table with a cup ready for overflow at all times!
