9/11/21
As we entered Rosh Hashanah I told my husband and children that we would honor this feast by making a conscious effort to enjoy our family time, stop to look around and take note of Gods beautiful creation around us (we live by the ocean) and appreciating with joy and gratitude the things He’s given us, the beautiful views of His landscapes, the spectacular Gulf Coast sunsets, and all the little things in our lives we enjoy everyday. My boys even chose to honor God for the video games they enjoyed playing. As we drew back as a family to walk in this glorious Heavenly feast it was like we had entered a new place. The humidity was 65%, like what you feel inside your house. The water was crystal clear. It seemed otherworldly to us. There was a golden haze over our entire day. I discerned a shift into a place of stillness, peace and gratitude. It truly felt like a heavenly feast.
We’ve sought to pray from a position of being seated with Christ in Heavenly places. It will be much easier to walk in that level of revelation in this season as Heaven is coming closer to us than ever before.
“In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”
1 Peter 5:10 NLT
We need to begin asking God to fulfill the last part of this promise. Ask for restoration, strength and support. Take this verse and make it a prayer. As you pursue this you will begin to discover that you are becoming stronger than ever before. You will begin to find the confidence in your prayer life that you see exhibited in the disciples when Jesus was right there with them. Like when Peter said Lord let me walk out to you on the water! Peter desired to conquer something he saw Jesus conquer. This rise of fire is raging within us behind the scenes as we bask in the stillness of this garden time.
“Awake, north wind! Rise up, south wind! Blow on my garden and spread its fragrance all around. Come into your garden, my love; taste its finest fruits.”
Song of Songs 4:16 NLT
We have entered a garden season with God. The north wind has been blowing, the north wind is a heavy, torrential rainstorm but when it works with the hot south wind it stirs up the fragrance of fruit. As the season changes you will begin to discern the “fragrance” of what God has produced in your life through the intense times you’ve just faced. Enjoy this feast time with God, this pause in the garden of God.
“In that day, sing about the fruitful vineyard. I, the Lord, will watch over it, watering it carefully. Day and night I will watch so no one can harm it.”
Isaiah 27:2-3 NLT
The Lord is cultivating something new that he has produced in you. Your daily routines may not change but you have already been changed from the inside by the hand of Almighty God. You will discern that even old things seem new, you will begin to find joy and celebration in everyday matters.
“He will give a longing for justice to their judges. He will give great courage to their warriors who stand at the gates.”
Isaiah 28:6 NLT
The Lord is strengthening our resolve to pray and trust Him in greater levels than ever before. We will stand firm at the gates of our cities, homes and churches. We will pray for truth to come out and set captives free. We will pray for judges of our land to be plagued with a longing for justice. They will have no rest day or night until they rule in favor of righteousness. We will constantly send legions of angels to fight and win for righteousness’ sake!
Soak up His presence in this pause in the garden. Be restored, be strengthened, allow God to refine your stance (place you on a firm foundation). Pursue the strong foundation of faith God promises which leads to powerful prayers commanding angel armies and putting demons to flight.
Thank you. This is such a wonderful time we are entering into indeed. Prayer is such a blessing to us all and opens up so much in ourselves and in our lives as we drink deep in His words and promises. This is definitely a great time we live in and greatly appreciate your sharing of His love for us. Thank you
