Treasury Of The Glorious Rest
“Then Pharaoh gave Joseph a new Egyptian name, Zaphenath-paneah. He also gave him a wife, whose name was Asenath. She was the daughter of Potiphera, the priest of On. So Joseph took charge of the entire land of Egypt.”
Genesis 41:45 NLT
Translating the new name given to Joseph, it means “treasury of the glorious rest”.
This is a word for leaders of every kind, not just pastors, apostles and prophets, but business, community, family and political leaders. You are being entrusted with the “end times treasury”
Looking closely at more events from Egypt the Lord continues to speak to us for this hour.
So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them, “Why have you done this thing, and saved the male children alive?” And the midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are lively and give birth before the midwives come to them.””
Exodus 1:18-19 NKJV
The Egyptian midwives had been positioned to abort the future but the Lord accomplished two unexpected endeavors. He changed their hearts and expedited His purpose quickly bringing about what the enemy feared most.
The Lord is stepping in as Defender over your life. You will feel His overshadowing cover. You are becoming a great threat to the darkness
“And you shall tell your son in that day, saying, ‘This is done because of what the LORD did for me when I came up from Egypt.’ It shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.”

For the generation that was too afraid to trust God all they had was this beautiful story of His grace. For 40 years they recounted this moment in time never moving beyond what God did for them then.
Sadly I’ve witnessed many unwilling to move to the next place of destiny because the enemy has led them to believe it is the end for them. As a result they are stuck in past constantly recounting the way God used them in old seasons never faithfully advancing into the future.
“And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.”
— Exodus 14:13
How would you even act if the greatest opposing force your life was suddenly gone and you were released into a new place with boundary lines so far apart you cannot see them?
Stop for a moment and practice exhalation of our God. Can you by faith worship Him as the One who is greater than the sum of your life experience up to this point? God you are greater than anything we have ever known or experienced. You are bigger than the life we have known up to this point. You are capable of so much more than we’ve ever seen or imagined!
“And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.”
Exodus 14:17 NKJV
The Lord will gain honor over what has opposed you up to this point. You will see it happen and bear witness to it. He is overshadowing your life as Defender. That is how you will know Him in the days ahead.
