The Lion King

The Lion King

“The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Did you know that Disney’s The Lion King, the play is being performed all over the country right now?

My husband and I attended the matinee performance last Sunday. It was extraordinary. I perceived a sweetness, a purity within the performance that literally brought tears to my eyes. I knew God was speaking prophetically to the church. I kept hearing “The Lion King!, The Lion King!”.

Last night during a heated worship service frantically I grabbed my phone in order to record the revelation Holy Spirit brought forth:

In the story, Simba, a young lion cub in line to rule, ran and hid when the king was gone. While in hiding he lost his identity as a lion. He wasn’t eating the right food. He was eating bugs instead of meat. Simba is the church.

Zazoo, the majordomo and advisor to the king, was ignored by Simba. Simba alluded him dismissing his advice stating that he did not need him. Zazoo represents the prophets.

The Lord then showed me that the pride lands of the Lion of Judah are America.

I heard: “There are hyenas in the pride lands!”

The hyenas in the story came to steal, kill and destroy the resources of the land. They had no place there but no one stepped up to oppose them.

The church must take its place of authority. Realize that you are citizen of Heaven called to rule and reign for Him on this earth. God is waiting for the church to take its place.

Leadership is emerging from tiny remnant sized churches all over the country. I’ve witnessed pastors who are fully prepared to steward the Third Great Awakening. The Lord has chosen these small, seemingly insignificant places to make His name known.

“Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Each day when you put on your “shoes of peace” know that the God of peace will “crush Satan under your feet”.

Are you willing to believe you are a threat to the darkness? Why don’t you start praying with that assurance? Without faith it’s impossible to please God.

There was a point in the story where Simba faced the hyenas as a young lion. He roared in defiance and the hyenas laughed saying “that was it?” then suddenly his father appeared behind him and roared mightily.  His roar dominated the atmosphere making the enemy tremble and cower in fear. It was final.

“When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus is rising up as Defender in this hour. You will know Him personally as Defender. You will testify and tell others, everyone who will listen, about the power of the Lion of Judah who has stepped in behind you to back you up with His mighty roar each time you step out in faith.
