Prophetic Worship Paved The Path For The Present Promise

“As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen. “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!””
Luke 19:36-38 NLT

As Jesus entered Jerusalem those with eyes to see and ears to hear recognized that what was prophesied was finally happening and they began to worship God for the fulfillment of His promise. Now we know that what happened on that day was just the beginning of the fulfillment of God’s promise and the finalization is not yet complete. The Lord was not entering Jerusalem to overthrow the government and set up Kingdom rule. That time has yet to come!

These beautiful people caught a glimpse of the actualization of God’s promise and poured out their most extravagant worship to God for the sight of it! Holy Spirit reminded me as I read this that their worship was released in that region and still exists in the spirit realm over that place in the earth. The path has been “oiled”.

This story is a great example of how we should navigate the path ahead of us. This was prophetic worship because they were praising God for what He was about to do and for what He would do later.

This prophetic worship, praising God for what you see coming, even if you only get one word from Him or the quickest impression, this worship is needed now to pave the way for the rapid installation of what God has given you the hope to see!
