With All Your Might A prophetic message from the lives of those who have gone before us… “When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.”” Joshua 6:5 NLT This effort took all the faith and strength the Israelites had, which was not nearly enough. The Lord supernaturally overshadowed their obedience and did the impossible breaking the enemies defenses. “The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”” Luke 10:27 NLT This call of God will everyday require your whole heart. Your attentions cannot be divided. Your heart must first be dedicated to the Lord then to everything else. That daily connection must be established and enforced. Today seek the Kingdom with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. “Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Stretch out the spear that is in your hand toward Ai, for I will give it into your hand.” And Joshua stretched out the spear that was in his hand toward the city.” Joshua 8:18 NKJV God focused His apostle in one direction at a time and guided his hand to overthrow demonic rule. “So all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and struck with the edge of the sword. He utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded.” Joshua 11:12 NKJV Joshua was to be the leader of a generation of action, a front runner of destiny. He had 40 years to mull over what he was called to do. 40 years to question it, to give up on it, 40 years for the Spirit of God to provoke him with visions of taking the land. It was such a long period of time that when it finally happened there were no more questions, he was sure, and there was no where else to go but forward into destiny. “So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land rested from war.” Joshua 11:23 NKJV He was given the honor of placing others in their positions of destiny too. The Lord suddenly shifted the people from mindlessly following a cloud in the desert to frontrunners of destiny. The covering transformed from the shepherding of Moses which was a frustrating existence, shepherding people who never grew or changed to Joshua the apostle under whose leadership people rose within their talents, calls and abilities and began to perform them on great levels never seen before in their lifetime. Joshua could clearly see Kingdom talent and giftings and knew exactly where to place each person in order for the body to advance and conquer as God had commanded them to. We are now in a season of rapid movement, moving with the armies of Heaven. Over the last three years we have perfected the art of “be still and know” in the waiting but now we must learn to “be still and know” within the rapid movement and quick pace of the Spirit of God. “All their might” wasn’t nearly sufficient for the Israelites to take the city but it was enough to move the hand of God to knock down the wall of Jericho and hand them the conquest.
