Entry 3

Our last evening in Athens concluded with a demonic attack followed by radical, swift, divine intervention! On our last night our enthusiasm over the incredible local cuisine led us to enjoy an absolutely superb 11 course meal! After returning home marveling at the experience we were changing clothes when suddenly my husband’s knee cap popped out of socket! THUD! He crashed to the floor in unbearable pain. Racing over to him I grabbed him and began to call on the name of Jesus accessing that profound place of communion with Him from the depths of my soul. Such a place must be daily cultivated inside you because when suddenlies happen there’s no time to search out that deep place of intimacy with God.

At the first release of “thank You Jesus” his knee cap popped back into socket and the power of the enemy broke! Miraculously the next morning he then boarded the cruise ship toting excessively heavy luggage and proceeded to enjoy 11 days of aggressive touring sometimes walking as much as 7 miles in a day and countless flights of stairs and mountains! Glory be to our awesome God!

Our first port was the island of Santorini, rumored to contain ruins of what is believed to be the lost city of Atlantis. We took a small boat trip with about 7 other adults around the island. Immediately the Lord connected me with a Christian couple from Los Angeles, California. As we shared our testimonies our smiles widened and our faces began to glow. Our hosts cooked a lovely Greek meal for us.

Before starting I spoke up and asked if someone would pray a blessing in Greek. The captain knew “Our Father” and prayed it in Greek over the meal. I’m not sure what the other passengers thought but the Lord had to be honored. It was beautiful to see this captain remove his hat, place his hand over his heart and express honor toward God in his native language.
