Ezekiel And The Valley of Dead Promises

“The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones. He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out. Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?” “O Sovereign Lord,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.””

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭37‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  1. Ezekiel remained with God. At any point God could speak, move, and illustrate the supernatural in his life. Moving with God he then beheld, saw, had a vision!
  2. Among the dead, walking around a graveyard, in the midst of the place where a battle ended and fate was decided long ago he must’ve thought “what does this place have to do with me?”

Earlier this week I had a conversation with my oldest son about how we wage war with the promises of God.

“….His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We go into spiritual battles fully equipped with spiritual armor and spiritual forces working with us!

Continuing my conversation with my son I explained that first a prophetic promise is given and then the enemy comes to attack it. If that promise is not deeply rooted in your spirit when the thief comes you might be tempted to drop it and flee in despair! In doing this you are, in the spirit, dropping your sword and evacuating your place of inheritance! One must hold fast to that promise (sword) and speak it in the face of the enemy.

“David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭45‬ ‭NLT‬‬

David faced the enemy recognizing his weapons but his soul was firmly fixed and full of confidence in the promise of God to which he gripped tightly in his heart. He knew Goliath was in direct defiance of everything God had promised and as long as someone was standing against him in the name of the Lord, no matter his massive stature, he could do nothing but fall!

In other words: “you come at me with lies, offense, sickness, headaches, attacks against my mind, family attacks, threats to my business (add your personal items here) but I now see, expose and cut off your head with the sword of God’s promise for my life which is radiant health, joy, freedom in Christ and abundance!”

As I continued this anointed talk with my son I explained to him that as God prepares him for greater battles he must learn to confront opposing forces with personal prophecy and if there were times when a promise was given, tested by the enemy and then abandoned, God can redeem that time and return you to that place allowing you to collect the promises you dropped and gain the inheritance He had for you there!

“So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons.”

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭37‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

3. Standing with God, declaring His words, Ezekiel suddenly found himself surrounded by the greatest resurrection the world has ever seen. As every promise came to life he was surrounded by a fortified army!

Men and women of God, as long as you have breath you have access to Kingdom purpose! There are promises that have been released from the heart of the Master to individuals, churches, institutions, cities, states and nations! You hold massive weapons of demonic destruction in your hands. Oh breath of God blow on these promises bringing them to our remembrance so we can carry them into battle and with them cut off the head of the destroyer!
