The Confinement of “Heard”

This story begins with Joseph standing in his place of destiny and his brothers bowing before him as they came to buy grain to save their families.

“So Joseph put them all in prison for three days. On the third day Joseph said to them, “I am a God-fearing man. If you do as I say, you will live. If you really are honest men, choose one of your brothers to remain in prison. The rest of you may go home with grain for your starving families…Now he turned away from them and began to weep. When he regained his composure, he spoke to them again. Then he chose Simeon from among them and had him tied up right before their eyes.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭42‬:‭17‬-‭19‬, ‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Joseph imprisoned one brother, releasing the others to travel home to their families. They did not return until the grain was finished and their father sent them back in desperation. How long was that period of time? Why Simeon?

During that period Simeon remained imprisoned. What was going through Joseph’s mind? He had locked up a part of himself. His destiny was only partially fulfilled. Awaiting the fullness of God’s purpose for his life time stopped. At this point he had only helped his family with temporary provision but he was called to so much more! He was to save and deliver the nation of Israel!

Simeon’s name means “heard” (“he has heard of my suffering”) As “Heard” was confined God began to mend some things in Joseph’s heart preparing him to walk out the final phase of his destiny. When the time of “Heard’s”restraint ended there was abundance on the other side.

Many of you have begun to catch glimpses of the beginning signs of Kingdom purpose unfolding in your lives. In your times of confinement do not doubt what God has spoken to you. Repeat those promises in prayer until they become ingrained in your spirit, armament around your body and are carried by your angels carry as marching orders!

If the enemy can successfully inflict you with doubt he can steal the provision that goes with the promise! God has heard your cries of urgency but must temper your souls to rise above your disappointments in others so the End Times Church can lock arms and advance in tight formation in full unity.
