Early on Sunday morning the Lord heavily pressed this scripture into my heart. It was like He was highlighting and strengthening a place of insecurity firmly binding it with the power of His promise! As I began to consider the meaning, He revealed a prophetic promise contained within each verse.
“When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself, And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in, The lambs will provide your clothing, And the goats the price of a field; You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food, For the food of your household, And the nourishment of your maidservants.”
Proverbs 27:25-27 NKJV
“When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself,”- this speaks to the removal of dead things revealing new life underneath.
“And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,”- herbs are used for seasoning, health and healing.
“,The lambs will provide your clothing, And the goats the price of a field;”- God has already resourced you with everything you will need for this season. You already have resources for the season ahead that you may not have considered or even be aware of.
“You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food, For the food of your household, And the nourishment of your maidservants.”- God’s provision for you, your family and others who depend on you is complete.
The Lord then brought this promise to my remembrance:
“Day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent, and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever. They will not be disgraced in hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough.”
Psalms 37:18-19 NLT
Take hold of these scriptural promises. Pray them out loud over yourselves and your loved ones so that they may come to life and exist permanently as a spiritual shield and buckler around you.
During the plagues in Egypt there was a point in time when God made a distinction between His people and the Egyptians. Rely on His sovereignty over your lives as the shaking approaches.
Thank you Lord for your protection and provision, you are always faithful you always watch over your children and during these times that are coming, you are still faithful!
