The Netherlands
As we entered Holland, a land of windmills, wooden shoes, and cheese our guide began to educate us on the area and culture. He explained that windmills can turn according to wind direction and adjust to a position receiving the full benefit of the wind.
As we neared the first area of our tour crossing a bridge I saw a vision of Jacob with his arms crossed blessing Ephraim and Manasseh.
“Then Jacob looked over at the two boys. “Are these your sons?” he asked. “Yes,” Joseph told him, “these are the sons God has given me here in Egypt.” And Jacob said, “Bring them closer to me, so I can bless them.” Then he positioned the boys in front of Jacob. With his right hand he directed Ephraim toward Jacob’s left hand, and with his left hand he put Manasseh at Jacob’s right hand. But Jacob crossed his arms as he reached out to lay his hands on the boys’ heads. He put his right hand on the head of Ephraim, though he was the younger boy, and his left hand on the head of Manasseh, though he was the firstborn.”
Genesis 48:8-9, 13-14 NLT
Joseph told him it was wrong but Jacob was well aware and intentional in giving this blessing. This action symbolized reversal which has been a constant theme throughout this year as well as a prophetic promise.
““So those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last.””
Matthew 20:16 NLT
I feel as though I’m soaring with angel armies each time I pray for and believe to witness reversal in areas that have remained unmovable until now. Jacob paid the price during his life for reversal and here we read of him instituting a work of reversal in his own family.
Walking through the streets of Holland we photographed a quaint historic church whose bells play a sweet melody each day at noon. Sadly our guide explained that the church had closed because people don’t go to church anymore. Heartbreaking! My heart mourned for the great spiritual gap created in the town by the loss of worship. May Holland adjust and move with the wind of the Spirit! Let Heaven come down and begin a work of reversal to the dead dry areas of this world where there only remains a slight trace of what used to be as in the Valley of Dry Bones!
This is so touching. I will join you In the prayer of reversal for the dry and desolate places throughout the earth.
Agreeing with you in prayer! Release the bells to sound again Father!
